Limestone flooring has grown enormously in popularity over the past decade in both domestic and commercial properties, but it is a market that has been led by retailers selling imported tiles. That is not entirely surprising as the quarrying of limestone in the UK is carried out on a much smaller scale than it is on the Continent.

Nevertheless, there is a demand for English limestone tiles, both in the UK and overseas, and one company producing them and specifically targeting them to the UK retail market is ELP (Stamford) Ltd. We are a very English operation.

We currently produce four ranges of tiles in two finishes. We don't stop there though — we can become involved in the design process of your requirements, our bespoke service offering cabochens and border, skirting, cills, steps and hearths - the concept is often as important as the product!
